Early this month Grace developed an unusual breathing pattern. Although it returned to normal after a day, I stopped going to work and Alysia, Grace and I spent the month of May together. It was some of the best time we ever had as a family. We were more relaxed, got to spend a lot of quality time with Grace, and just appreciated being together for whatever time we had left.

May also brought Grace’s birthday party. There were cakes and balloons and Grace got to spend the day with family and the people who helped take care of her. We will always be thankful that we had such a wonderful day together.
